The SOMMER pro+ combines our most advanced garage door control unit with the flexibility of a separate control unit housing.

There are three alternatives for separate installation of the housing (front, rear or on the ceiling) so that existing power sockets can be used and you can enjoy the highest level of customized convenience.

At the same time, the integrated button is used for controlling the door and lighting.

The control unit of the pro+ can be mounted anywhere in the garage. Like all SOMMER garage door openers, the motor glides silently along the chain and it is directly attached to the door to maximize power.

The new SOMMER pro+ is the innovative follow-up to the successful duo concept: The separate control unit housing provides even greater flexibility and more convenience.

The Control Unit Can Be Mounted Anywhere... Integrating Space, Access, Lighting & Electrical Solutions.
The control unit is detached from the rail. This shortens the installation length of the opener making it ideal for backroom issues. (i.e. beams or HVAC ducts).
Mount the control housing anywhere a power outlet is available.
The standard 16 foot connector wire makes it ideal for a retrofit.
The 24V connector wire between the control housing and rail is a low voltage wiring making for an easier installation. (no electrician required).
The connector wire can be installed on the front or rear end of the rail assembly, minimizing the wire length and installation time.

Direct Drive Technology | Only One Moving Part

The motor is located at the door instead of the back of the opener, maximizing power and minimizing wear and tear.

Plug & Play Garage Door Opener Accessories

Battery pack "Accu"

Integrated in the control unit, the battery pack will supply power during power outages.
Reliable NiMH battery backup solution. Life cycle up to 10x greater compared to a
Lead-Acid battery.

Lock

Locking magnet which mechanically blocks the motor in any position up to an attack force of 660lbs. (certified), thereby enhancing the existing break-in protection. (mechanical locking mechanism of the opener)

Alarm/ warning buzzer

Two functions in one product:
The alarm buzzer recognizes a break-in attempt and outputs a loud signal tone.
The warning buzzer outputs an acoustic signal during the closing process.

Senso

For recording air humidity and temperature in the garage. The carriage automatically opens and closes the door a bit if necessary, ensuring perfect air circulation. This reduces the risk of mold formation.

Memo

Used to expand the memory to 450 transmitter commands. If service is required, the saved
transmitters can be easily moved to a new garage door opener.

Lumi pro+

Additional LED lighting for the control unit. It is switched in parallel with the lighting in the carriages and can be easily switched on and off using the transmitter.

Relay

Additional relay for additional switching of
a garage or courtyard light.

Motion

Detects motion in the garage and automatically activates the LED lighting. Motion sensor attaches to the door arm and connects to the motor carriage.

SOMlink - The Communication bridge to your opener

The SOMlink service module offers a wide variety of setting options for the new SOMMER products on your smartphone or tablet by means of the Web app.

The following functions are available:
• Service interface for SOMloq2-compatible operators/receivers
• Start-up assistance, e.g. deleting transmitter or adapting speed
• Configuration of operator/receiver, e.g. changing lighting duration
• Reading out/saving and loading of system data
• Visualisation of force curves
